Love. Trust. Free will. I write fantasy novels and stories about characters who struggle with these issues as they learn the true measure of their hearts. My work is primarily inspired by Slavic myths and legends, but the themes are universal.
I’ve taught inner-city children, reported for local and national media, and helped maintain parks. I enjoy writing, reading, movies, gardening, connecting with friends and family, and the company of my longtime companion. My daily brain food is the New York Times’ crossword puzzle; the best days are when I finish without looking up any answers.
I love accordions and own a vintage Delarosa from Italy, where I once spent a rainy December in an unheated attic guest room. If I ran the world, every town would have a state-of-the-art library with bookmobiles and at least one café stocked with board games, free to all.
